Untitled part 1: Picture resistance

Things are outside of words, so talking about them is kind of a difficult thing.

“Untitled” proposes a way of looking at things, what things are (Are they??) and most of all, between things (). The project is a view on ideas as material and things as containers for them. In view, displayed as liquid or light inside and outside of things.

How are things? (How are you???=)) They are containers filled with material, framed potential. Between things, what is in the gaps? It is content. It is temporary, it is fear, it is love. Simulations. It is resistance, suffering, mostly.

Strong ideas to material(100% potential!): Through an algorithmic process famous paintings (strong ideas) are compressed into a single color by collecting all visible information and reducing it into one single data string. This data is produced as liquid, paint.

In words, I would describe perception as seeing the limits of the human mind and senses. Material, potential, smothered in gravity and time. The compressed world, as we see it. What is outside of that?

Constant things are no things (Everything??) and through resistance they become a thing. People often describe it as a place to where they get home. This is the entrance. Doing, what they call living, thing, love and fear-making, on the way home. Making resistance. Breaking down what’s in the way of what is.

Picture resistance: After the image is compressed into paint it is poured, cast in it’s container, a canvas of the same size as it’s origin. Liquid, mirroring itself on it’s canvas, fixed by gravity and time it is removed and put on a new frame. A liquid body and a picture of that. An image of itself.

Things are outside of words, so talking about them is kind of a difficult thing.

“Picture resistance” proposes a way of looking at things, at what things are and most of all, between things. The project is a view on ideas as material and things as containers for them.

How are you? How are things? They are containers filled with material. Things are the frame, smothering material, potential in an image of itself, in gravity and time. Framed potential. The compressed world, as we see it. What is outside of that?

Ideas as material: Through an algorithmic process famous paintings (strong ideas) are compressed into a single color by collecting all visible information and reducing it into one single data string. This data is produced as liquid, paint.

As material, the painting is poured in a canvas of the same size as it’s origin. Liquid, mirroring itself on it’s canvas, fixed by gravity and time it creates an image which is removed and put on a new frame. A liquid body and an image of that. An image of itself.

 

Between things, what is in the gaps? It is content. It is temporary, it is fear, it is love. Simulations. It is resistance, suffering, mostly. When looking: Do you see the world or an image of the world? Is it temporary or constant? Constant things are no things, and through resistance they become an a thing, an image.

Material and the resistance it has gone through, making everything different things. Breaking down what’s in the way of what is. Forget yourself, this is the entrance.

Thinking isn’t going to get us anywhere still it leaves me wondering, is the question the answer?

Becoming some thing: Prosjektet ser på ideer som materiale og ting som beholdere for dem.

Unfixing: Gjennom en algoritmisk prosess er sterke ideer (kjente maleri) komprimert til en enkelt farge, en konstant form. Fixing: Som støpes i canvas av samme størrelse som originalbildet. “Konstant form” > Motstand (og tid) og et bilde av det. Den ene er det vi ser i ideen om en ting “et tre” og den andre er tingen (som den er).

Prosjektet foreslår derfor en måte å se på ting (utenfor tanken, utenfor ord) ord er der, men bare tilstede, se forskjellen på det som er og ideen om det. Den ene er det som er og den andre er et bilde av det, ideen om det.

Prosjektet gjør form flytende (konstant) før det støpes i en kropp, kroppen sin. Det som det treffer blir et bilde.

Et bilde av: “Konstant form” > Motstand (og tid) + Et bilde av det. Det ene er “No thing” og det andre er “tittel”. Det ene er det som gjør tingen til en ting og det andre er en ting. “Livet i kroppen”, og resultatet av det (it’s self).

“Et bilde av det”. “Et bilde av det som er”, det du ser, er et bilde, av det (utenfor deg selv). Se hva som er. Konstant form > Motstand (og Tid) fikserer > Form. Og et bilde av det. Når du tegner, lager ting, lager motstand, “et bilde av det”.
